NFL player spends time with Albany youth

April 30, 2006

Albany - - Some at-risk young people learned what it means to be successful through the eyes of some big-time football players.

N-F-L Buccaneer Todd Williams is one of several football players who volunteered there time this weekend bowling with children from the Open Arms Shelter. It's part of a group called AIM for youth, which is dedicated to providing athletic skills and mentoring to young people.

"If you want to pursue athletics and really take it to another level, you gotta know how to study, be good in school, be good to your teachers and learn," Williams said.

The program started in Albany last year with its Celebrity Golf Tournament. It is growing to more cities across the country.
