Leesburg -- Five months after a fatal hit and run in Lee County, an arrest warrant has been issued.

A grand jury indicted Christina Purvis Tuesday. The Lee County woman is charged with first degree vehicular homicide, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

Prosecutors say Purvis was driving the Ford SUV that struck and killed 39-year old Stephen Collins the night of November 18th. Collins was walking alongside Highway 19 when he was hit near the intersection of 19 and Forrester Parkway.

Investigators almost immediately tracked down Purvis' SUV because of a vehicle part found at the scene. But she denied she was driving it that night.

A warrant has now been issued for her arrest.
