Tifton--Downtown Tifton has fallen in love with the arts.

From oil paintings to wood carvings, businesses throughout the historic district have created these beautiful artistic window displays.

It's all part of this year's "Art in the Heart of Downtown." The business with the best display will receive free advertising in the Tifton Gazette.

Business owners hope the art work attracts more people downtown.

"It gets the people downtown, it gets a lot of the community down for a free art show. They get to see the beauty of downtown," says Brenda Rose, volunteer coordinator.

The downtown artwork serves as a prelude for this year's Love Affair Art Festival at Fulwood Park in Tifton. The event will run through April 29th through May 7th and feature artists from all over the country.
