April 20, 2006 Dougherty County - Two civilian workers were injured in an armored vehicle crash at the Marine Base Thursday.
The two men were driving a light armored vehicle on the MCLB test track. The vehicle malfunctioned, ran off the track and hit a pine tree.
Both men where taken to Phoebe Putney. One was treated for minor cuts and bruises and released. The other remains in the hospital under observation, but the base says his injuries are not life-threatening.
MCLB would not release their names, but said Risk Management is investigating what caused the vehicle to malfunction.
