Valdosta - A South Georgia man was shocked by a power line while trimming a tree.

Thirty-four year old Garland Ellis was cutting limbs from a tree at a house on Winding Way in Valdosta Tuesday morning when he touched a limb that was touching a power line. He was shocked and received serious burns to his neck and arms.

Ellis is a tree surgeon with Phillips and Jordan, Incorporated. He's in serious condition and has been transferred from South Georgia Medical Center to the Augusta Burn Center.
