Barrien County--A triple shooting in the small town of Enigma leaves one man dead and two others injured.
The shooting happened around midnight at the Gidden's Trailer Park just off Highway 82.
Out of the more than fifty lot at this trailer park, lot thirty-eight became the unlucky target of a fatal shooting.
"I just want to find out who did it and why it happened," says Connie Simpson. She was sleeping last night when her boyfriend, 32-year-old Carlos Rosales, was shot several times with a .25 caliber gun.
"He came in the house and told me he was shot, and I jumped out of the bed," says Simpson.
She found Carlos down on their living room floor drenched in blood. "I kept saying, please don't leave, please don't leave me, please don't go and that was it," she says.
Rosales later died at Tift Regional Medical Center. "He was a good person. He never mistreated nobody. If somebody needed some help, he would help them," she says.
Rosales was shot along with 15-year-old Roberto Gomez and Miguel Moralez, a man in his early thirties. All three men were talking when witnesses say a Hispanic male driving a white jeep Cherokee shot them.
"The only person know that I know drives a jeep Cherokee, he's not around," says landlord, Bruce Giddens.
Law enforcement is currently looking at one of Bruce Gidden's tenants as a person of interest.
"I know he likes to shoot a gun because he's gotten in trouble for shooting a gun before," he says. While authorities still don't know the motive for last night's shooting, Simpson hopes justice prevails and they catch who's responsible for Rosales' death.
"I really want him to pay for what he did, I want him to pay for what he did," says Simpson.
The other two men shot remain hospitalized. Roberto Gomez is stable. Miguel Moralez is in critical condition. If you have any information that could help police make an arrest, you can contact the Berrien County Sheriff's Office at 686-7666.
