Albany-- It's not often that people forget about money but we found a long list of Georgians who not know the state has money just waiting for them to claim.

With the tax deadline coming on Monday, people are filling tax offices all over town. Some of you will soon be counting the days until that refund check comes in the mail.

But believe it or not, hundreds of Georgians have unclaimed refund checks waiting for them. We found an extensive list on the Department of Revenue website, many names from right here in Dougherty County.

Those refunds become void after three years so unclaimed refunds from 2003 run out on Monday.

To find out if you're on that list, go to www.dor.ga.gov  and click on Georgia Unclaimed Refunds.
