Albany - Dougherty High senior Montavius Chattman missed his final season of high school basketball because he is too old.
Chattmon though will get back on the court next year at ABAC.
ABAC head coach Todd Sheppard didn't forget Montavius Chattmon's tremendous outside shooting.
Sheppard was on hand to watch the talented swing player sign a scholarship to play for the Stallions next season.
Chattmon had an outstanding junior season when averaged 15 points and five rebounds a game in 2005 when Dougherty made it to the state final four.
But the impressive thing about Chattmon is that he find out he couldn't play basketball this season, he devoted all of his attention to his studies to make sure he would fulfill his dream of signing a college scholarship.
Montavius Chattmon said "I wasn't able to play basketball this year and he still stuck by my side the whole way. I am kinda of thankful for that."
Montavius Chattmon is the second ABAC signee this spring.
The Stallions signed former Randolph-Clay star Lancie Cannon last week.
