Thomasville- Testing will begin next week for a significant number of people who came in contact with a Tuberculosis patient in Thomas County.

A patient at Archbold Memorial Hospital tested positive for TB 47 days into their hospital stay. Anyone who came in contact with the patient has been sent a letter and must be tested.

Testing will be Monday, April 17th and Tuesday April 18th from 7:30 a.m. to 5 o'clock at the Thomas County Health Department. Nurses will inject a small amount of the purified protein derivative under the skin and then patients must return three days later for their results.

Anyone with questions is urged to call the Health Department at (229)226-4241 or 1-888-430-4590.
