Albany - Do you know who signed the Declaration of Independence or the preamble to the Constitution? An Albany student was honored for his knowledge of American history.

The Southwest Georgia Exchange Club gave Ryan Landers its Milestone of Freedom Award. The Sherwood Christian Academy eighth grader earned a 96 on a test on 30 documents that make up that club's Freedom Shrine, a permanent collection of American documents found at many school and government buildings.

Landers received a plaque and a $100 check. The SWGA Exchange Club gives the award each year to an eighth grade student.
