Thomasville -- A South Georgia woman remains in jail charged with aggravated assault.  Iyannah McCormick, who is accused of shooting a man in the back Friday, has been denied bond.

The shooting happened around 11:30AM at the Royal Kings apartments in Thomasville. Investigators say McCormick and Corey Ellis argued before she shot him four times in the back.

She was arrested on the scene immediately. "The police responded within two minutes we were able to make an arrest. She is in jail now for aggravated assault," Rachelle Denmark of the Thomasville P.D.

Ellis is being treated at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
