Albany -- Sharon King was award the Harry Goldstein Lifetime Service award from Volunteer Albany Thursday afternoon.

She has volunteered for the United Way and American Heart Association for most of her life. "I just get a lot of personal pleasure out of knowing that you're doing something that might help someone else," said King. "It's also great way to get involved and meet folks in the community."

Volunteer Albany also gave Brittany Ashley the Youth Teen Service award, Lesia Irvin, the Outstanding Volunteer in Community Service, and Paws Patrol, Group Service Award.
