Albany-- Another new downtown business hopes to have hot sales as they give cool refreshment to South Georgians.

Two Scoops Gelato and Pastry is now open on Pine Avenue downtown. The store offers several flavors of gelato, an italian ice cream made fresh on the premises. You can also enjoy coffee, tea and smoothies.

Owner Abdu Shumburo says he's always wanted his own business and felt downtown Albany was the perfect spot.

"It was in the back of my mind and the timing was just right and downtown Albany going through revitalization the way it is, I thought it would do good down here," says Shumburo.

Two Scoops officially opens Friday morning at 8 a.m. They're open 7 days a week.
