Sylvester -- A small bat colony made a home in a Worth County School.

The school district's maintenence department recently discovered four bats in the ceiling at Holley Elementary School. The area of the school where the bats are located is currently blocked off to students and teachers.

The school board alerted the county health board and the department of natural resources of the problem. The bats will be trapped and removed from the school next week.

School leaders say parents shouldn't worry. They say the nocturnal bats won't cause a problem to children during the school day.
