Albany -- An Albany woman is named Albany Technical College's GOAL Leader. She will represent Albany Tech in statewide competition against other top technical students.
Cindy Horne won Albany Tech's Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership. Horne will represent Albany Tech against the winners from the other technical colleges in Georgia, to see which will be the state's technical college spokesperson.
A culinary arts major, Horne says she is passionate about fine food. "That's always been a passion of my life, and I really needed to pursue that. And see where that would lead me in my life."
Horne already works at an Albany bar and grill. She said she hopes to one day own a restaurant of her own.
