Albany--A top Albany city leader who just got a promotion last year resigned tonight.
Assistant city manager Kevin Hogancamp confirmed he submitted his resignation to city manager Alfred Lott.
He would not tell us why or what his plans are.
Hogancamp has worked for the city since 1999, after a newspaper careeer with the Albany Herald and was promoted to his current position last year, after serving as assistant to the city manager and public information director.
He earned an undergraduate degree in communication from the University of Alabama. He has two children.
Hogancamp's last day with the city will be April 21.
