Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>

Albany - A man was critically wounded in a shooting on Albany's East side this afternoon and that shooting led to a lockdown at two nearby schools.
The shooting happened just before two p.m. at Hidden Oaks Apartments on Mock Road.
While police looked for the gunman, two schools, Dougherty Middle and Dougherty High were put under lockdown between two and three p.m.
The victim, a Hispanic man, was shot repeatedly as he sat inside a Toyota Corolla on the back side of the complex on Mock Road.
Police believe the shots were fired into the car from the passenger window.
People who live at the complex heard shots and tell police they saw a man in a white t-shirt running from the area.
The victim, who's name has not been released, has been rushed to a hospital. We don't yet know his condition.
