Albany -- Dougherty County Sheriff's officers today caught a suspect who escaped from Albany Police earlier this week. Sheriff's investigators tracked down Geoffrey Hall at this east Albany Motel this afternoon.
He escaped from the new Albany Law Enforcement Center when police left him unattended in an interrogation room. He was brought back to the Albany Police Department where police say something like this won't happen again.
"Those are measures that we are taking that we can make it a safer environment here to prevent any kind of escape in the future," said Lt. James Williams of the Albany Police Department.
Police say Hall tried to run over them in his car when they tried to arrest him Wednesday on forgery charges.
