Lowndes County - If you were driving northbound on Interstate 75 through Lowndes County Friday afternoon, you probably weren't moving too fast. A wreck brought traffic to a dead stand still for about an hour.

It happened around 1:30 near exit 18 in Valdosta. The driver of a Chevrolet Blazer pulling a small RV trailer lost control and hit the barrier wall, causing the vehicle to catch fire. Luckily, everyone got out of the vehicle and no one was hurt.

Both northbound lanes were shut down for about an hour and northbound traffic was backed up for about 12 miles. The lanes reopened and traffic started moving again around 2:30.
