Albany --  A  woman has been arrested for hiring someone to burn her car.

Twenty-seven-year-old Cheneca Montgomery is charged with conspiracy, and giving false statements. Her 2005 Honda Accord was found burning at the Sand Dunes Sunday night about 6:15.

Montgomery had reported her car stolen 30 minutes earlier. Investigators say she promised to pay Joseph Carter, IV if he burned her car.

Arrest warrants for Carter have been issued. Investigators say Montgomery was having financial problems.
