Clay County--Clay County not only tries to attract tourists, leaders also want more to draw more retirees.
Over the years, the county has seen a growing number of people retire to the area.
Many come from Florida and Atlanta. County leaders say lower taxes, fewer people, and the availability of land appeals to many retirees.
"It's a quality of life issue. As we talk to many people who move here, they're looking for slower pace, less stress," say Ken Penuel, with the county's economic development council.
There are currently three retirement communities in Clay County.
