Albany -- A ten year old East Albany boy is dead from hanging. Quincy Clinton was found at home with a belt around his neck. Investigators don't yet know if his death was an accident or intentional.

The 4th grader and his family lived at Regency Club Apartments on Tompkins Avenue. He was a special education student at Radium Springs Elementary School and had just moved to Albany from Moultrie.

His mother told police she found him hanging from some stairs with his sister's belt around his neck around 10:30 Thursday night.

"At this point we are trying to determine whether or not this was an accident by a child experimenting with a belt or whether or not it was an intentional suicide by a child," said Assistant District Attorney Christopher Cohilas.

Because school was out in Dougherty County Friday, counselors will be at Quincy's school Monday to help other students deal with his death.
