Crisp County-- You can honor a south Georgia deputy recovering from a gunshot wound by giving the gift of life.

The Red Cross will hold a blood drive in honor of Crisp County Deputy Steven Rankin. He was shot in the face last month after he pulled over 32-year-old Ben Westbrook III. Westbrook faces charges including aggravated assault.

Rankin still hasn't returned to work. If you donate at the Cordele Community Clubhouse Tuesday March 14th, you'll get to sign a special t-shirt that will be presented to Rankin after the drive.   The drive will be held from 2-6.
