Valdosta - A South Georgia woman says her child found a razor blade in the bottom of a cereal box.

Presilla Adams of Valdosta says that her daughter was looking for a prize at the bottom of a box of Kellogs Frosted Flakes when she noticed the small blade. The blade wasn't in the plastic bag that holds the cereal, but laying in the bottom of the box.

She filed a police report, and investigators are looking into the incident. They're not sure if the blade accidentally ended up in the box during packaging, or if someone intentionally put it in there.

"I don't want to scare anybody, its important that you realize it was found in the box, not in the bag of cereal," said Capt. Brian Childress.  "We're certainly taking precaution on this because we don't want the possibility of someone taking a blade and putting it in boxes, that's a concern of ours and certainly of the community."

A spokesperson for Kellogs says they believe this is an isolated incident and haven't had any similar complaints, but they're investigating the situation, in addition to cooperating with the Valdosta Police Investigation.
