Valdosta - You can now see WALB programming louder and clearer than ever.

Mediacom is carrying WALB in high definition on Channel 810. HDTV combines an extremely high resolution picture with surround sound capability and gives viewers a theater like experience.

“High definition is so different from the analog product, its like going from a black and white television to a color set, the quality and sound is so much better," said Sally Bloom, Mediacom Vice President.

The F.C.C. wants all broadcasters to be HDTV capable by January of 2007.
