Valdosta -- Yesterday we told you about Monty, the puppy who was badly burned by three juveniles in August, and was looking for a safe home.

Now Monty has been adopted. After we brought you his story last night, the Lowndes County animal shelter was flooded with calls from people interested in adopting him.

Today he went home with a Valdosta family who'll give him the special treatment he needs. Because of his burn scars, Monty will have to be kept indoors and will need to wear sunscreen if he's outside for long.

He'll also have a furry friend at his new home. The family has already adopted one dog from the animal shelter.
