Lowndes County - Two South Georgians were killed in an early morning car wreck Monday.

State troopers say that 23-year-old Deborah Leigh Walker lost control of her car on Old State Road in Lowndes County, hit a mailbox and a culvert, and landed in a yard. She and her passenger were both killed.

Walker was a student at Valdosta State University and the passenger was in pilot training at Moody Air Force Base. His name has not yet been released pending notification of kin.

Both were wearing seat belts.
