Valdosta - South Georgians are taking aim to raise money for a good cause.

The Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County is holding its annual skeet shoot fundraiser this weekend. The center's mission is to minimize trauma on children who've been victims of violence or abuse. Last year they provided counseling services to nearly 300 victims.

"All non profits need unrestricted money and the skeet shoot is our primary source of unrestricted money, its our largest fundraiser and we usually get around $20,000 on average," said Laurie Bajalia, CAC Director.

The fundraiser is Saturday at Southwind Sporting Clays in Lake Park. So far, 27 teams have signed up but there's still room for one more team.
