Albany -- The Albany Police Department make an arrest in a three-year-old murder case. Investigators found the suspect living in a neighboring county.

Twenty-three-year-old Anthony Richardson is in jail, after investigators caught him this morning at his job in Sylvester. They say in November 2002, Richardson beat then 32-year-old Willie Gipson to death in his home at 1403 Elva Street.

For the past three years, Albany police tried to find Richardson. With help from the Dougherty district attorney and Sylvester Police, he's now off the street.

"This is an ending today of a long investigation and we are extremely happy and excited about making an arrest today in this case," says Lt. Eddie Long of the Albany Police Department.

Investigators say Richardson had a professional and personal relationship with Gipson. They believe they know why Richardson beat Gipson to death but aren't releasing that information at this time.

Richardson is charged with murder. Other charges are pending.
