Cook County - A South Georgia woman will serve time for burning down a popular South Georgia restaurant.

Peggy Lorraine Parr of Valdosta pleaded guilty to burning down the Catfish House in Adel in 2003. She was sentenced to 11 years and will serve 14 to 18 months in a detention center.

She’ll also have to pay a fine of 25 thousand dollars and make restitution to her insurance company. Parr admitted that she burned down her business to get insurance money.

Another employee at the restaurant, Jennifer Barnes, was also indicted in the case but those charged were dismissed because there wasn't enough evidence against her.

The Catfish House has since been rebuilt at the same location by a new owner.
