Albany - Grab your beads - it's time for Mardi Gras! Albany's fourth annual downtown Mardi Gras festival is Saturday, February 25th.. There will be more than 40 vendors, twice as many as last year. The event runs from noon until midnight and costs $5.00 for everyone over 14-years old.
"We'll have bands, vendors, food and a pet parade. To benefit the Humane Society this year, we're having a reverse car raffle. You'll be bale to buy tickets that day, it's for a brand new Mazda Miada," said Phil Cannon, Downtown Merchant's Association.
The Beachump Bike Race is also Saturday starting at 8:00AM. It's the first race in the prestigious Georgia Cup cycling series.
