Albany -- Traffic on the Liberty Expressway in Albany was blocked by twelve tons of steel Monday afternoon.
A Hambrick Welding trailer loaded with steel beams dropped it's load in the westbound lane of the Flint River bridge on the bypass. The truck pulling the trailer then jackknifed.
Traffic was stopped on the bypass for about a half an hour, backing up cars for more than a mile.
The steel was loaded onto another truck, and cleared off the bridge.
Hambrick Welding will be charged with failure to secure load.
