Colquitt County-- A woman was seriously injured in an early morning fire in Colquitt County.

Firefighters were dispatched to 215 Black Acres Road after 5:30 Sunday morning. The home is in Southwest Colquitt County near Lower Meigs and Kendallwood Church Roads.

The fire was fully engulfed when they arrived on the scene. Officials say three people were home at the time. One person, an elderly woman, received burns to the arm and face. She's been transported to an Augusta hospital.

Firefighters say the two other residents are o.k. The fire started in the living room area of the home. Officials say the house was badly damaged by heat and smoke.
