Lowndes County - An inmate was found dead in his jail cell in Valdosta early Thursday morning.

A guard at the Lowndes County Jail saw 29-year-old Esavious Devon Wright pass out in his cell shortly after midnight. He was rushed to South Georgia Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say there were no signs of foul play, and the jail's medical personnel didn't have any record of previous health problems.
They expect autopsy results to be complete tomorrow.

Wright had been in jail since February 9 for probation violation.
