Former School Board Chairman awaits hearing

February 14, 2006

Tifton - Richard Golden is on probation for shooting the car of a trespasser he found on his land. Then in December, he was charged with illegally dumping grease into the city sewer system. He owns a company that helps restaurants dispose of grease.

Prosecutors say the charge violates Golden's parole and if he's convicted, he could serve up to five years in prison. Golden is still a member of the school board.
