Lowndes County - Two people are arrested for a home burglary in Lowndes County, and investigators are working to see if they're behind many other break-ins in the same neighborhood.

In the last three months, about 15 homes in the Stone Creek neighborhood have been broken into. Early Monday morning, one homeowner caught a man in his garage and chased him. He called police, and they found him hiding at a nearby home.

Nineteen-year-old James Eric Smith is charged with burglary, and 21-year-old James Allen Neal is charged with possession of marijana and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. Investigators are also questioning them about the other break-ins.

"We're going to work hard on it and see if we can possibly solve some other vehicle break ins and burglaries by these arrests," said Capt. J.D. Yeager.

Investigators say that in all of the cases, the suspects broke into the garage and then stole things from the homeowner's automobile.
