Colquitt County-- A young woman possibly on her way home Friday night was killed in a crash a few miles from her destination in Colquitt County.
It happened at about 6 Friday night at the intersections of Highways 133 and 33 north of Moultrie. Troopers say 19-year-old Karen Dell was traveling north on Sylvester Drive when she was struck in the driver's side of her Toyota Camry by a GMC Jimmy heading south on 133.
Dell died at the scene and had to be cut from her vehicle. The driver of the SUV, 36-year-old Michelle Loque of Doerun suffered visible injuries and had to be cut from her vehicle as well. The Specialized Reconstruction Crash team out of Valdosta is investigating the wreck.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
