Albany- As Valentine's Day approaches, South Georgians everywhere are looking for the right gift to express their love and adoration for that special someone.

Benny Porter, the owner of The Flower Basket, says, " The biggest advice that I have for shoppers is not to wait until last minute." Since this holiday is their biggest sale day, they remind people to tell the florist in advance and make sure they give them ample time to deliver the flower of their choice.

Overall, the care of Valentine's flowers involves a lot of love, water and shelter from the sun. Tibbie Watson reccomends that your flowers be kept cool.

Lastly, if that loved one is allergic or doesn't like flowers you can always get other keepsake items like teddy bears or candy!
