Albany -- It's official. Albany civic center director Mattie Goddard is fired.
Albany City Manager Alfred Lott and Goddard met Tuesday so Goddard could make her final plea to keep her job.
But she and her attorney didn't change Lott's mind. He went through with her termination. He suspended Goddard with pay last week, so she hasn't been in the office since then.
