Albany - If Albany State fans thought that Lady Rams coach Robert Skinner's 400th career win would be easy, they were mistaken.
The Lady Rams had to rally from a 14 point second half deficit to beat the last place Lady Panthers 59-54 Tuesday night at the HPER gym.
The victory did indeed give the Lady Rams head coach the milestone victory in his 26th season of coaching.
Robert Skinner said "It is a big win. I don't know if it is big because it is number 400 or it is a conference game or what. I enjoy the opportunity to play to get to the win is even that much more a blessing."
Skinner can thank the Randolph-Clay duo of Aldrany Peak and Keywanna Price for win number 400.
Peak had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Price added 14 points for the Lady Rams who are 10-11 overall and 9-5 in the SIAC.
The Albany State men also were winners 68-61.
Travon McGruder had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Both Albany State teams are back in action Thursday night at the HPER gym against Stillman.
The women will play at 6pm and the men should start around 8pm.
