Rams add ninth recruit

February 2, 2006

Albany - Albany State picking up another member to the 2006 recruiting class on Thursday.

The Golden Rams received the signed grant-in aid from linebacker Frederick Green from
Windsor-Forest High in Savannah.

Green's signing raises the number to the Albany State recruiting class to nine.

Albany State head coach Mike White expects his fax machine will spit out more signed grant-in aids on Friday.

On Wednesday, the Golden Rams signed eight players including monroe's Lamontray Williams and Bainbridge's Jermaine Jackson.

Coach White says so far the Golden Rams have been filling their need for defensive depth and playmakers on offense.

White said "We think we did a good job and when it is all said and done and all the numbers come in we think it is going to be a very good class for us."

Coach White says the Rams are hoping to finish with 15 to 20 players in this year's recruiting class.
