Valdosta - Some South Georgia students got a feel for their futures Thursday.

About 50 high school students in Lowndes County experienced the working world as part of National Job Shadowing Day. Local businessmen and women showed the teenagers what its like to spend a day in their shoes.

Jessika Knight shadowed Photographer Steve Heddon at Mirage Studios. She says this experience assured her she's pursuing the right career.

"It makes me more excited about being a photographer becasue its a lot of fun, hanging out and everything, its just fun," said Knight.

Students also learned about careers in law enforcement, health care, education, and many more job fields.
