Albany -- Some of Dougherty County's top public safety workers are honored for their good work.

Monday morning, Dougherty County Police Chief Don Cheek named Ray Curry the Officer of the Year. Curry is a three year police veteran, who lad the force in traffic enforcement during the year.

Lt. Tommy Jackson was named the Support Staff Officer of the Year, and Sergeant Cary Koah was given the Top Gun Award. Koah shoots with 98-percent accuracy.

EMS Director Bobby Tripp honored Alan Thomas, Brian Suber, Randy Balkcom, and Haywood Allan for their life-saving services.
