Cook County -On April 13, 2005, 44-year-old Christopher Cooper failed to stop his tractor trailer and ran over a car driven by 23-year-old Michelle Yancy of Adel. The accident happened on Interstate 75 near Exit 32.

Investigators aren't sure why Cooper didn't stop.  He told them he didn't see Yancy's car.

Her family has filed a wrongful death suit in Middle District Court in Macon. Their lawyer expects the case to go to trial in the fall.
