High fuel prices suspend Delta flights

January 23, 2006

Albany- Higher fuel prices will cause Delta to scale back some Albany flights temporarily. It's a common practice around the country, especially at smaller airports like Albany's.

Starting next month Delta will scale back off peak flights on odd days of the week. They're expected to cut up six flights from the weekly 56 flight schedule.

"Delta will be cutting one trip a day on Tuesdays and Saturdays for the next couple of months here in Albany," said Mike Mooney, The Boyd Group.

Travelers shouldn't worry, regular flight schedules should resume May first.
