Valdosta - High school students in Lowndes County are getting a head start on their college career.
Valdosta High, Lowndes High, Valwood, and the Association of 100 Black Men are sponsoring College Night at the James H. Rainwater Conference Center Monday night.
Representatives from 17 different colleges will be on hand to talk with students and their parents about financial aid, campus visits, the admissions process, and much more.
"The benefits are well worth their time to come out and receive as much information as they can early on before they get into a panic at the later part of their senior year," said Janice Baker, LHS Counselor.
The event is from 6:00 until 9:00 at the conference center. Admission is free.
