Lingle selected as vice chairman

January 18, 2006

Albany -- The Dougherty County Commission appointed its new Vice Chairman today. District Four Commissioner Chuck Lingle was unanimously approved by his fellow commissioners to serve as Vice Chairman for one year.

Lingle has been on the Dougherty County Commission for three years, and sees this as a good opportunity to serve the community. "I think it's critical that we have someone fill that position, and I look forward to it," said Lingle.

The Vice Chairman will step in to preside over meetings in case Chairman Jeff Sinyard can not attend, and represent the County at official gatherings.
