Bainbridge- Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Randolph-Clay's 76 game winning streak is that virtually all of those victories were blowouts.
So, it is only fitting that the Red Devils 77th straight win, which sets a new state record, would come in a rout.
DeAndre Johnson scored 22 points to lead the class-A Red Devils to a 76-46 win over the AAAA Bainbridge Bearcats Tuesday night at the Bainbridge Civic Center.
Randolph-Clay head coach Joe Williams, who is closing in on 1,000 career wins, says the record winning streak will not sink in until after the season.
The Red Devils, who have won two straight class-A state titles, last loss was to Pierce County in the 2003 AA state sectionals at the Albany Civic Center.
Randolph-Clay tied Irwinville which won 76 straight from 1950-1952, with their win over Terrell County on Saturday.
The Red Devils will go for win number 78 Friday when they host Calhoun County.
