Albany-- Albany Police are looking for two men in connection with an armed robbery and shooting that sent two people to the hospital.

It happened at the Dixie Gas Station at 1400 Broad Avenue after noon on Saturday. Two men entered the store, demanded money, and shot two people. 54-year-old Herby Wells was shot in the head area and remains in critical condition. Gary Patel, the owner, was shot in the leg but is in fair condition.

Police are looking for two suspects for questioning, 34-year-old Bobby Gene Thomas and 26-year-old Earl Scott.

"They came into the store and demanded the money. Once they attempted to comply with the commands they began to shoot the victims in the store," says Lt. James Williams.

The suspects made away with an unknown amount of cash. Police say they face charges including attempted robbery and aggravated assault. If you have any information on the suspect's whereabouts, call Albany Police.
