Perdue visits with Valdostans

January 12, 2005

Valdosta- Governor Sonny Perdue is updating South Georgians on this year's legislative agenda and budget.

Perdue held a town hall meeting in Valdosta Thursday to talk with local citizens about what's going on in the General Assembly. He says his top priorities are education and job creation, and he wants input on those issues from people in South Georgia.

"Valdosta is a long way from Atlanta, but I want people in Valdosta, Lowndes County, and all of South Georgia to know that this area means as much to me and the state as Atlanta or any other area," said Perdue.

Perdue also met with residents at meetings in Albany, Macon, and Atlanta Thursday.
